In my 20s, I struggled with housing security, and for about a year lived in a van, while I struggled to make ends meet. I had always believed in the American Dream, but as a young adult wasn’t finding myself in a position to realize that dream. Five years and one house hack later, I own a duplex, my tenants cover most of the housing costs, and my next move is investing in my next multi-family property.
I’m not a guru. I don’t come from generational wealth. I’m simply an accountant who got obsessed with the numbers and decided to share what actually worked — and what didn’t.
