Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Van to Vault (“Van to Vault,” “we,” or “I”) collects when you visit vantovault.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. Van to Vault is a personal finance and real-estate blog, and I aim to collect as little information as possible.

Who I am

Van to Vault is an independent blog operated by its owner. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach me at hello@vantovault.com.

Information I collect

Information you give me. If you subscribe to the blog, I collect the email address you enter. If you email me, I receive whatever information you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the site automatically collects standard, non-identifying analytics such as the pages you visit, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate (city-level) location, and the site that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How I use your information

  • To send you new posts and occasional updates, if you have subscribed.
  • To reply to messages you send me.
  • To understand which content is useful so I can improve the site.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the website.

I do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and I do not serve ads on this site.

Email subscriptions

The blog’s email list is managed through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you subscribe, your email address is stored with Kit and used only to send you blog updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. You can review Kit’s privacy practices at kit.com/privacy.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand general traffic patterns. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; you can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Some cookies are also used to keep the site running and loading quickly.

How I share information

I do not sell your personal information, and I never will. I share information only with the service providers that help run this site — such as my email provider (Kit), analytics provider (Google), web host, and content-delivery network — and only to the extent needed to operate the site. I may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

Your choices and rights

  • You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
  • You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing hello@vantovault.com.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, the UK, or California), you may have additional rights over your personal data. I will honor those rights where they apply.

Data retention

I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Subscriber email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove them.

Security

I take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through this site. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact me and I will remove it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
